“Indecent is where sensuality and safety converge to create uncompromising pleasure.”
Our steps to create change…
Indecent the brand, established in 2015, spent four years in research and development to become the first and only adult brand registered with the Australian Governing bodies as a Responsible Supplier. Indecent was formally launched in November 2019.
We proudly 100% Australian owned and operated.
We wanted to create an inventory of adult products where the safety and quality our customers expect was not only included in the design, but integral to the mission of our business.
As a result, our core ideals of safety, quality and ethical practices have been woven throughout all aspects of our company.
We strive to maintain and regulate the high ethical standards of our production and manufacturing processes to deliver adult products that instill these values while meeting the needs of our customers.
The Great Australian Dream
The initial search to find our toy manufacturer began here in Australia, our team looked high and low for an existing business that could supply this service. After many months of not being successful the decision was made to look overseas. Since discovering the lack of manufacturers it has become the the personal vision of our CEO to build a manufacturing plant here in Australia, essentially, to create Australian jobs. We realise this will take some time…

Our products
It is our mission at Indecent to provide high quality, body safe and comfortable toys for all adults to enjoy. To this end all our raw materials are ethically sourced and manufactured into products, before being subjected to rigorous testing to ensure they meet our own high standards as well as the requirements to be registered as an Australian Responsible Supplier.
They’re then beautifully packaged and sent into the world to bring our customers pleasure while being content in the knowledge that their safety is our highest concern.
Manufacturing process
The consumer is always our biggest priority and we are proud to provide them with products of an exceptional quality.
To ensure all our products meet our own high standards, our team searched extensively to find a manufacturer who shared a similar approach to safety and ethical production overseas.
We understood that not all manufacturers would share our principals, and spent 18 months testing the materials of manufacturers from all over the world before commencing with any potential production. It was through this process that we found a supplier in Hong Kong with like-minded values and were able to begin our extensive testing process.
In order to meet our own high standards, we completed full cycles of testing and redesigning before launching into production. The years of dedication and strict quality control we put into this task resulted in adult toys that are unique, body safe, ergonomic, rechargeable and durable.
Indecent is also proud of the ethical framework that makes up our company, and this had to be reflected in the manufacturing process.
As a result, we have agreements in place with all of our partners, including international manufacturers, that do not allow for any exploitative or illegal activities to occur. This includes illegal and underpaid labour, child labour, and an established need for a safe working environment. Ensuring that everybody involved with Indecent is paid fairly and in accordance to national standards is something we are extremely passionate about and will continually monitor.Per our agreement, if any unethical behaviour occurs the manufacturing will cease immediately and another company will be found.
We have spent a significant amount of time perfecting our products to take the worry out of our customers’ hands – and this includes ensuring our products and packaging are ethically made, environmentally friendly, and ultimately, safe and fun to use.
We are proud of our differences
As a company, we prioritise safety, quality and inclusivity. This has lead us to consider how we can make our products user friendly for everybody, while also undergoing rigorous testing to ensure we meet the highest safety standards for electronic products.
Indecent is proudly the world’s first brand within the adult sector to register as an Australian ‘Responsible Supplier’.
To meet the guidelines for registration all our toys:
- Have been tested and passed strict Australian Electromagnetic requirements set out by the Australian Consumer Media Authority (ACMA).
- Proudly display this compliance by printing the RCM logo on all packaging, user manuals and our website.
The RCM is a visual indication of Indecent’s compliance with all applicable ACMA regulatory arrangements, including:
- All technical and record-keeping requirements on every electrical product we sell
- Established recall processes
- Displaying the RCM logo where required
- Complete and available compliance folder storing our test reports

Battery Quality and Attestation of Global compliance
The Lithium Ion batteries used in our toys come complete with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Attestation of Global compliance. Our toys comply with the mandatory AS/NZS 3820:2009 Essential safety requirements for electrical equipment
Silicone Quality
The RoHS directive aims to restrict certain dangerous substances commonly used in electronic and electronic equipment. Any RoHS compliant component is tested for the presence of Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent chromium (Hex-Cr), Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
All Indecent toys are made using Body Safe Silicone tested against the RoHs directive.
European Electrical Quality Standards
The CE marking on our packaging is our declaration that all Indecent toys meet the requirements of the applicable EC directives stated below.
EN 55014-1:2006+A1:2009+A2:2001, EN 550142:1997+A1:2001+A2:2008+AC:199
Compliance
All our products are ethically made and are tested against Australian, New Zealand and European standards to meet the specific compliances that allow us to register as an Australian Responsible Supplier.
This includes the RoHS certification that declares our products safe for body use, after our silicone has been tested for 26 harmful elements.
The CE marking declares our products meet the European standard of materials and manufacturing quality. This extends to working with the Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council (ERAC) and the Radio Spectrum Management (NZ).
Indecent has acquired the RCM logo as we are compliant with all applicable ACMA regulatory arrangements, including all technical and record keeping requirements.
Indecent has met these compliances and regulations by testing its products through two independent laboratories, with rigorous testing done on all components of our toys, including silicone that is body safe and non-toxic, electronic mechanism testing including battery usage and safety, as well as an overall component make up; that is ensuring our products do not contain any harmful components such as lead, mercury and cadmium.
In doing these tests and acquiring these certifications, we are introducing a method of self-regulation, ensuring we are an Australian Responsible Supplier.
Everything we do is shaped around the safety of our customers and this has been our mantra from the beginning.
Building an inclusive brand
Indecent’s collection of adult toys have been designed to ensure that sight impaired persons within our community are also able to use our products with ease. LED lights have not been included in any Indecent toy, instead all of our products have proudly been designed with Vibrating Charge Technology (VCT).
How does VCT work?
Vibrating Charge Technology allows the use of touch over sight when charging your toy. When the adult toy is placed on the charger, it will vibrate twice to indicate charging has started. When fully charged the toy will begin to vibrate. The vibration will continue every 5-10 seconds until the toy is removed from its power source.
